Harvest Hallow Hay Maze

Visit San Francisco Zoo & Gardens to welcome our favorite season…FALL! Navigate through San Francisco’s largest hay maze, made from over 500 bales of hay and incorporates play areas within the design. It will be open every day through Halloween and is free with paid admission.

Zoo Brew Haus

Join us October 22-23 and 29-30 as we transform the Playfield Cafe and Lawn to the Zoo Brew Haus. We will pour a great selection of brews, including our very own Zoo Beer, and cook up a full smorgasbord of German-inspired dishes. Bring a picnic blanket to enjoy your lunch on the lawn and dine to the upbeat sounds of music from 12p.m. – 4 p.m….you might even want to get up and dance.

Boo at the Zoo

Celebrate a family- friendly Halloween with us during Boo at the Zoo on October 29 and 30. See the animals enjoy special Halloween-themed enrichment and pick up a bag of candy on your way out. At noon on each event day, participate in a fun costume parade and contest at the Friend Family Playground with prizes awarded for the top three in these categories: Best Costume, Best Family Costume and Best Animal Costume. The costume parade and contest will begin at the flamingo habitat and end at the Playground.
