Australian WalkAbout
Australian WalkAbout is a tranquil setting featuring plants and animals native to Australia. See red kangaroos and wallaroos in this “slice of Australia” habitat. The WalkAbout features an overlook, where visitors can observe these marsupials or “pouched animals” as they lounge in the late afternoon sun, or just hang out. If you look carefully enough, you can sometimes spot a joey in its mother’s pouch! Hanging out with the marsupials is an emu, Australia’s largest living bird (and second largest after the ostrich).
Just beyond the WalkAbout is a habitat for our cassowaries, a large bird that is distinguished by its large casque on its head, bright coloration and three-toed feet with sharp claws.
